Functions of our AdServer

Our AdServer develops and changes constantly in response to the needs of the market and of our partners. Hungary’s leading adserver is characterised by numerous targeting options, a diverse creative service and detailed statistical request options.

Targeting options:

  • Narrow down based on days of the week (e.g. the ad should only appear on Tuesday and Wednesday).
  • Narrow down based on hours of the day (e.g. the ad should only appear between 8am and 12 noon).
  • Word search targeting (campaigns initiated on search programmes should only appear when specific word searches are entered).
  • Narrow down based on content (e.g. ads should only appear on pages dealing with cars).
  • Narrow down based on domain name (e.g. those arriving from the sulinet.hu domain should not be able to view the ad).
  • Narrow down based on browser type (e.g. only those using Internet Explorer should see the campaign).
  • Targeting based on operating system (e.g. Linux users should not see the campaign).
  • Referrer targeting (campaigns should be seen by users arriving from specified sites).
  • Frequency – how many times a banner should appear to a user in a given time period.
  • *Exclusion of competition (the system does not allow adverts for competing products to appear on the same page at the same time).
  • userDB targeting – AdServer can be connected to any user database, thereby enabling it to target based on, e.g. gender, age, place of residence, or any other collected data. The targeting is made even easier and more precise by the built-in subsidiary functions, e.g. text searches, use of regular expressions, automatic conversion of place name to postcode, etc.

The targeting options can be combined; any logical operator and parentheses may be used with the help of a transparent webpage.

Handling creative materials:

  • Diverse rich media appearance options (e.g. Flash, HTML, sticky banner, mouse tracking banner etc.).
  • Popup, Popunder and Layer banner support: there is no need for individual HTML/Javascript codes, it is enough to parameter the pop-up adverts on the administration page.
  • Tracking popup-blocking – there is the possibility of layer-opening if popup-opening is unsuccessful.
  • The system is capable of subsequently modifying the clicked URLs built into the final flash creatives (swf file) in order to compile statistics from the CT.
  • The system can handle multiple URL clicks for one creative.

Campaign management, administration:

  • Campaign groups.
  • Copying a campaign.
  • Handling columns (zone groups).
  • Network mode of operation (handling advertising networks comprising multiple sites)
  • Agency AdServer mode of operation.
  • B2B marketplace: our clients can start barter campaigns online, using each other’s free space.
  • Filtering to assist campaign initiation and statistics requests: zone measurement, column (group), position.
  • There is the option of different creative rotations of varying weight within a given campaign (e.g. the 1/3:2/3 appearance ratio of two campaign banners).

Statistics:

  • Continuous, real time statistics from adview (after refreshing, additional adview appears in the statistics within 3-5 minutes), on the CT, the CT percentage and the UV (unique visitor).
  • Campaign statistics can be requested based on various groupings and segmentation (e.g. banners, day and hours, ad location, domains and content providers, and based on combinations of these).
  • Campaign audit – all our advertisers can access the statistics online, enabling them to follow the results in real time and to modify their campaign based on the effectiveness indicators.
  • The system sends the relevant statistics by email daily, weekly or at the end of the campaign, according to requirements.
  • AdServer’s building codes are suitable for measuring site downloads and can be supplemented for future additional targeting and the collection of statistical data, without the need to change the codes (e.g. screen resolution, depth of colour etc.)
  • We process results in both table and graph form and the results can be downloaded either in Excel or CSV formats.

Further advantages:

  • The server can be joined to any other adserver. If Adverticum AdServer is also being used on the agency side then any deviations in measurement can be completely removed (with the help of "joined up creatives").
  • Domestic development guarantees continuous inspection of the system and a quick reaction to any new market demands.
  • The ASP structure ensures that our clients have no cause for concern from a legal standpoint regarding ad placement, while the extensive (failover) architecture available guarantees this from the technological side.
