ASP - what does application service mean?
Adverticum Application Service Provider, that is ASP, which means that there is no need for servers and software in order to use Adserver, the free mailing system, the XPPS portal system and other services; Adverticum even provides the bandwidth for its clients.
Clients do not need expert knowledge in order to realise their wishes (e.g. content uploading or starting an online campaign) and they can perform this through an encrypted webpage. In other words, if there is a colleague with basic computer skills and there is a computer with internet access Adverticum can immediately supply a portal, ad management, and a freemail system to go with it and income generation can begin.
Monthly ASP costs depend on the applications, the size of the system used and the extent of utilisation (the monthly fee can range from a few thousand forints to a few hundred thousand), but on average it can be said that it is cheaper to rent the application than if the user:
- developed, rented or bought the software,
- bought or rented a server to go with it on which they could install the system,
- placed the server in a data park and rented the bandwidth,
- hired a couple of specialists to ensure continuous operation,
- continuously repaired and updated the hardware and the software...
If someone develops or buys these applications, installs them on a computer, places the computer in a serverhotel, and rents the bandwidth necessary for the services, they still need at least one specialist to run the whole thing. If Adverticum ASP is used the costs of machine procurement, server-hosting, and software purchase can all be avoided, while the monthly service fee of even our largest clients does not exceed the wages of a specialist and in the case of our smaller clients and less extensive services is considerably less than this cost! (In other words, the price scale ranges from a few thousand to a few hundred thousand.)
