In 1996 we started publishing a monthly magazine called Business Online, targeting the IT leaders of Hungary; this year also marked the beginning of the companies' online activity (online auction, online IT news portal, webmail, mailing list service, download system, etc).
The solutions that were developed to serve our needs became standalone applications (above all the Adverticum AdServer, and the XPPS portal engine). These applications were resellable in an ASP construction to other players of the market, which initiated the process of Adverticum becoming (in June 2001.) a private limited company.
These days Adverticum is one of Hungary's most quickly expanding software developing companies. As an online service provider, Adverticum focuses on adserving, but has important clients in the area of content management as well. Although the media subsidiary is less important now than it was 15 years ago, the media activities make us stronger on the IT market than other development companies.
Along with the fully featured AdServer we have a marketing capacity site available in Hungarian on ad.hu domain. Thanks to the AdServer, Adverticum has West-European, Slovakian, Romanian and Croatian customers. Our AdServer includes all modern adserver functionality, extended with Hungarian market specific features; it is available in English, German and Hungarian. The applications are developed and owned 100% by Adverticum.
Adverticum Zrt. figured in the Fast50 list of the Deloitte in the Central-European companies and the Fast500 list of Deloitte EMEA region companies.
